NorthRoad Cycles is a British carbon bike brand that specialises in making custom, hand-painted bikes for its customers.

NorthRoad Cycles was founded by Ian Stewart and Jane Holdship in a shed workshop in 2016. Now, they operate a fully-fledged bikery in Altrincham and have positioned themselves as one of the UK’s leading custom bike manufacturers.

Outcomes

We were tasked with designing and building a website that reflected the quality of NorthRoad Cycles’ bikes and their passion for cycling. We also set out to grow NorthRoad’s sales and presence in tandem with their expanding range of bikes and ambitious goals.

Our design includes overhauled product pages that pay particular attention to the craftsmanship and customisation options of NorthRoad’s bikes.

The dynamic product customiser allows visitors to easily configure their bikes and make quick purchases. The entire UX is smooth and informative which encourages visitors to stay on the website and make a purchase.

Working alongside NorthRoad, we designed a website with strong visual branding. Logos, typography, colours, and imagery communicate exactly what NorthRoad is about: the great outdoors, specialist engineering, and the cycling lifestyle.

Finally, we made the website easy to navigate. Search engines favour websites with clear structures and are more likely to rank them highly. Ultimately, this helps drive traffic to the website and increases the chance of conversions.
